Soviet era desktop computers: Many thanks to our viewers who helped translate the four opening title slides! This is a nice vintage B&W film entitled: “Basic Elements of the Electronic Computer.” Circa 1986, it shows students in a classroom learning various desktop computer applications. Russian language narration, with some English explanatory text added. Runs 9 Minutes, followed by the original unedited version without explanatory text. “Translation” is not word-for-word. Film shows desktop computers, graphics programs, joy-stick controls, musical equipment (keyboard), drawing programs, MSX tennis game, computer chess program, and more.
The black & white format and the students with school uniforms gives the film “1960’s” feel. Hope you enjoy! ~ CHAP
